Somi Kim is Senior Director of, Healthcare Solutions at Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Design, where she champions human-centered design solutions with real world impact.
She is responsible for building the design practice in support of J&J’s healthcare initiatives across Pharmaceuticals, Global Public Health and Medical Devices[MP[1].
Somi received a Master’s degree from California Institute of the Arts and an AB from Harvard College.
Her passion for cultural context, brand experience and human behavior fuels her desire to integrate design into larger conversations about business and society. To further these goals she is proud to be a member of the J&J Design Leadership Team and to co-lead Johnson & Johnson’s WiSTEM2D (Women in STEM + Manufacturing and Design) Youth Programs.
She is an Aspen Institute First Movers Fellow and lives in Montclair, NJ, with her husband and son.
